I tried the Huffy 26" Nel Lusso Women's Cruiser Bike with Perfect Fit Frame, Yellow and why you need one too.

By our senior writer: Karl Montgomery

I've been waiting to write this article for a long time. But today I actually get to review the Huffy 26" Nel Lusso Women's! I, Karl Montgomery, write about musical instruments for a living as a writer, blogger and reviewer and you have probably read my pieces about the Power Wheels Hot Wheels Jeep Wrangler 12-Volt Battery-Powered Ride-On, Blue by Fender and the 26" Ladies Kent Bayside Bicycle by Fender. I also did an editorial piece on the 26" Schwinn Meridian Adult Tricycle, Cherry. Needless to say, I have quite some experience testing musical instruments and I only want the best to my readers of course. So I was really thrilled when I got this product to write about today!

I've been a fan of Fender products1 for years and I was really looking forward to finally trying the Huffy 26" Nel Lusso Women's and reviewing it for you guys. I found the best deal on this site on Walmart (You can buy the Huffy 26" Nel Lusso Women's here.) and I didn't hesitate a moment. So I reached for my creditcard and bought one straight away. I was glad it had free shipping and 24 hours delivery when I ordered it because I couldn't wait! When my Huffy 26" Nel Lusso Women's arrived the next day I ripped open the packaging and was really happy with what I saw. As I said before I'm a huge Fender enthusiast but I can be very critical and objective too, especially when writing for my readers. :-) After testing it for about a week now I am confident that I have the authority to write this piece. So read on and I will tell you all about my findings and if you should buy this thing.

Best Huffy 26" Nel Lusso Women

I always start my reviews about musical instruments with a summary, then a clear list of the pros and cons after which I'll give my rating and conclusion. So as you may have understood from the intro, I am blown away by the Huffy 26" Nel Lusso Women's. Fender has really outdone itself on this one. The quality is great, and frankly; it just looks awesome. I know aesthetics aren't everything with musical instruments, but it just needs to be said. Of course the price I got at Walmart was and is unbeatable so make sure to check them out when you decide to buy one yourself. As I have tried many alternatives before, I really got to say they are no match for the Huffy 26" Nel Lusso Women's. Just the functionalities alone beats all competitors and the durability also seems to be top notch. The customer service of Fender2 is famous for being really generous so if you ever run in to any kind of problem with their products they're always really lenient with finding a solution. Long story short; not much negative to say about the Huffy 26" Nel Lusso Women's Cruiser Bike with Perfect Fit Frame, Yellow really. Make sure to read to the end tho because you might be in for a small surprise!

The list of pros of this Huffy 26" Nel Lusso Women's is going to be much longer than the conslist and the description3 this site gives already lists them quite well. To quote just an excerpt: "

Great little scooter!

I bought this for my girlfriend so she could ride it at the waterfront while I skateboard. I enjoy riding it to! It's a really fun scooter and the larger wheels are great for when you hit those cracks and bumps.

Worth it!

I am so happy with my Razor A5, it has bigger wheels that made it easier to navigate bumpy sidewalks with less fear of tripping over. It totally made my errands easier and faster than being on foot. Now, my trivial (yes; TRIVIAL) problems with this are: the handle vibrates with uneven pavements and makes clicking sounds at the same time, and since because I stow the scooter under my bed when not in use, the handle where it is adjusted for height now support scratches (which I am not partial to seeing at all). Overall I enjoyed it so much that I am buying 3 more from Razor (Not the A5, but the A3 series) which I will give to my nephews for their birthday.

Razor A5 Lux Blue

This scooter is terrific. I was walking everywhere for exercise ( 2mi/da) since I'm 67 and am hesitant to do more risky activities. My older brother had me try his xootr and I loved it so I had to get my own. I got this one delivered for under $60 on sale (!!!) and I like it better than the way more expensive xootr because it has a litte bigger wheels and seems to roll over bumps and cracks better. I can take the trash out (0.5 mi. round trip) and go to the store with my backpack (1 mi. round trip) a lot faster and easier than walking. As long as you don't let it get going too fast (it's faster than skateboards) it's pretty safe. I keep it slower than I can run. Since I live in the Portland area I ride it on wet streets but that is not a good idea. The rear brake fails completely over about 10 mph in the rain, (which is how I learned not to go too fast). I also have lower back problems and this actually HELPED my back where many exercises cause more pain. That is its greatest feature for me.

Durable and Affordable

This scooter is in a league with the most expensive kick scooters on the market, and the quality of the frame and folding mechanism are about the best you can get. I used this scooter to commute on the subway and make the walking portions of my trip faster, and realized that on my scooter I'm faster than most buses. The only issue I had with it was that handlebars were super long on this one. The foam grips were each spaced about 2.75 inches away from the center steering shaft when this arrived, making the total width of the handlebars over 18 inches. That's a bit too wide to navigate crowded sidewalks comfortably since it's wider than my chest, so I cut off 2.75" from each side of the handlebars to bring it down to a total width of 12.75". I also recommend installing some Bones Super REDS bearings on the wheels to improve the scooter's gliding distance. There is nothing wrong with the ABEC 5 bearings that come standard on this, but the Bones have less friction; you won't have to work as hard if you're riding a lot.

Awesome for camping!

We are a family of 4 with a pop up camper. We racked our brains for ways to fit 4 bikes in our van and/or camper for trips. We finally stumbled across these for my husband and I. We are 42 and 43 and LOOOOOOOVE riding them. They fold up so nicely and are lightweight, that we can easily take them in the camper with us wherever we go. They are very sturdy with the wide handles, and surprisingly easy to maneuver. They have NO plastic pieces to break which is great since my hubby might be a little more than 225. :) They also handle bumps and cracks very well. We've gone relatively fast and far distances with these. They don't work so well on hills, but flat places like Florida - I won't leave home without them again. We also bought a wire lock that can go through the back wheels to secure all 4 when we park them. We also just bought small handle bar storage "baskets" from bell to hold cell phones, water bottles, etc. The kids had the smaller razors, but keep stealing our larger ones, so we are buying 2 more A5 LUX models like ours for our next trip. :) You won't regret it!
